Civil Engineering Department

This new section qualification students according to a well-designed academic plan extends to five successive academic years. The plan includes basic studies such as Islamic studies, languages and sciences in addition to specializations in civil engineering sciences such as structures, roads, bridges, hydraulic sciences and administration and engineering structures. The department also supervises students’ practical training which comprises:

1. Practical training at the sites of bigger schemes in Sudan such as dams, roads and irrigations schemes.
2. The camps where students gather for intensive practical training like survey camp.
3. Help in graduation projects which guide students to create researchable career and develop their potentialities in addition to training on scientific research principles.
4. After completing these courses, students become qualified enough to hold a bachelor degree (honor degree) in civil engineering and surveying. After that, the graduates may join and contribute to the development process in the country.
