The first meeting of the Publishing, Translation and Arabization Council of the university was held on Sunday, 1/4/2018, directed and chaired by Dr. Mu'tasim Siddiq Mohammed on behalf of the rector and with the presence of:
1. Dean of Deanship of Publishing, Translation and Arabization
2. Secretary of Science
3. Representative of the Dean of Libraries
4. Dr. Ahmed Osman Fadil
5. Deputy Dean of Publishing, Translation and Arabization
6. Dr. Zakaria Anwar Zakaria                                
7. D. Ali Issa Jugan
8. Dean Representative of scientific research
The meeting discussed a number of issues relating to publication, its importance, the need to overcome its difficulties, and increase the motivation of faculty’s members to encourage them in various fields by supporting them financially and morally. At the meeting, the council also discussed the need for the addition of professionals in law, computer, modern technology and publishing expertise to enrich the council with the perfect ideas to ensure that the desired successes and objectives are achieved, as a whole, in the development of the university locally and internationally in all fields.
The meeting also discussed about holding the "University Book Day", which is an academic science festive day in which all published books of professors are displayed in the Grand Hall of the Judiciary. The meeting will be witnessed by Prof. Daffa-Alla al-Turabi, director of the High Commission for Arabzation in the Ministry of Higher Education and scientific research.
