Conclusion of the Workshop on Updating and Developing the Curriculum of the Faculty of Medical Laboratory Sciences at El Imam El Mahdi University

Today, the Faculty of Medical Laboratory Sciences at El Imam El Mahdi University concluded its workshop on updating and developing the faculty’s curriculum. The event was attended by the University Vice-Chancellor, Professor Mohammed Mahdi  Bukhari, and the Secretary of Academic Affairs, Professor Yasser Awadallah, reflecting the university administration’s commitment to advancing academic programs and enhancing the quality of education in line with the latest scientific and professional developments in the field of Medical Laboratory Sciences.

The workshop brought together a distinguished group of experts and academics from several Sudanese universities, including: Professor Bakri Yousif – University of Gezira; Professor Hussein Jad El Kareem – University of Khartoum; Professor ElTayeb Mohamed Ahmed Teirab – Al-Ribat National University and Kampala University; Professor Nader Musa Abu Zaid – Omdurman Islamic University; and Professor Ibrahim ElKhidr – Neelain University.

Participants discussed a number of key themes, including updating course content, enhancing learning outcomes, aligning the curriculum with national and international academic standards, and strengthening its relevance to labor market requirements. These efforts aim to prepare graduates with the scientific competence and professional skills necessary to keep pace with modern developments in the field of Medical Laboratory Sciences.

At the conclusion of the workshop, the Faculty of Medical Laboratory Sciences expressed its sincere gratitude and appreciation to the participating experts and professors, the university administration, and the faculty members for their valuable academic contributions and continued support of curriculum development initiatives. The Faculty emphasized that the workshop’s recommendations will represent an important step toward improving the quality of the educational process and enhancing the faculty’s academic outcomes, thereby supporting the advancement of higher education and scientific research in Sudan.
