About Department

It is one of the departments of computer sciences and information technology faculty at University of El Imam El Mahdi. It was established in 2015 and it offers a bachelor of honor degree in computer sciences in five years (ten semesters). Students’ admittance began in the academic year 2015-2016.

Department Objectives

Vision

To set a pioneering model in computer sciences scientifically and administratively integrated with the technological advancement besides being distinguished and able to create qualified cadres in computer sciences specializations and to conform to the world evolution.

Mission

To create an ideal academic environment to promote and develop the local, regional and international community so as to fill the gap in the labor market by supplying qualified and well trained individuals in computer sciences fields.

Objectives

This program aims at qualifying cadres in computer sciences field to meet the needs of the country in computer sciences and applications.
Running studies and applicable scientific researches of the direct effects in society development.
Contribution to social developmental programs that require usage of technological capabilities and computers.
Ethical commitment in the field of the applicable computer sciences.

Degrees

The department offers a bachelors degree (Honors) in Computer Sciences. The course contains 168 credit hours to be completed in five academic years (10 semesters).
