Abstract

The study aimed to know inclusion scope of (STEM) entrance criteria at natural science text book of first class intermediate stage, and used the descriptive analytic method and questionnaires as means to collect data, and applied randomly on 45 male and female teachers of intermediate stage at karari locality. The study concluded that, the natural science text book of first class intermediate stage had achieved inclusion of STEM criteria with high level, reached to total average (2.71from 3.00), arranged as following: including of science practices, using technology strategically, and engaging thinking logically, developing twenty first century skills, focusing around integrated concept, achieving integration between STEM field and working as a team. The study recommended issuing procedural directory for teachers including practical example for activating STEM criteria, and also the study recommended to activate engineering activities by using evaluating regular mechanism to control and assess level of STEM criteria application in class practice. The study proposed making future studies represents in proceeding experimental study to measure the actual impact of STEM criteria inclusion on academic attainment of intermediate stage students in Sudan and studying follow up of STEM criteria inclusion level development through different academic stage: (primary, intermediate and secondary).
